EIZO CS2400S Monitor Supports 30-bit Photo Data Transfer
Photographic RAW formats typically work with 14 or 16-bit precision, and after conversion to 16-bit photographic RGB formats like TIFF, PNG, and others, they can be further adjusted to a 10-bit format (3× 10-bit RGB) and sent via a graphics card to the EIZO colourEdge CS2400S monitor's input. If a monitor can process data with 10-bit colour depth, it can display very fine, smooth gradients even with photographic data working with a wide colour gamut (e.g., AdobeRGB or ProPhoto RGB standard). This technology uses the ability to automatically switch the monitor to the wide-gamut "AdobeRGB" mode with automatic white point setting (if connected to a PC via a USB cable) and to print on supported wide-gamut EPSON/CANON printers using special print plug-in modules, which are preset so that printing through them always proceeds correctly, without the user having to set anything or have any in-depth knowledge of printer colour management. For printers not supported by the QCM programme, it is possible to calibrate the white point of the EIZO colourEdge CS2400S monitor according to the nature of the light falling on the print output very precisely using the colourNavigator 7 programme. (The EIZO colourNavigator 7 calibration software handles calibration tasks for printing = simulation of print data on the monitor = softproofing)).

For hassle-free connection of modern computers to the EIZO colourEdge CS2400S monitor, there are 10-bit USB-C and DP (DisplayPort) inputs or 10-bit and 12-bit HDMI inputs.
