Acer S1286H Short Throw
Acer S1286H Short Throw
The Acer S1286H DLP projector is capable of short-throw projection, making it ideal for smaller rooms, classrooms, and meeting halls. Thanks to its 0.62:1 throw ratio, it projects a large image even when placed close to the projection surface. This XGA projector provides a native resolution of 1024×768 pixels and a brightness of 3500 ANSI lumens, which, combined with a 20000:1 contrast ratio, renders a clear and legible image even in environments with normal daylight. The Acer S1286H uses a lamp as its light source with a lifespan of up to 6000 hours in the power-saving ECO mode, which helps to reduce overall running costs.

Short-throw projection
The projection system uses DLP technology to display in native XGA resolution (1024×768 pixels) with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Its main advantage is its short projection distance, defined by a 0.62:1 throw ratio. The device can create an image up to 300" in size from a projection distance of 3.8 metres. A 1–2.00 digital zoom allows you to fine-tune the image size without physically moving the device. This solution is practical for installations where space is limited.
Operating parameters
The light source is a lamp with a lifespan of 4000 hours in standard mode. When the power-saving ECO mode is activated, this time is extended to 6000 hours. The total power consumption of the device at full power is 270W. Thanks to its 3.1kg weight and compact dimensions of 313×262×114mm, the projector is easy to handle. The design also allows for flexible installation, either free-standing on a table or fixed to the ceiling. An integrated speaker provides basic sound.
Projector connectivity
For connecting signal sources, the projector is equipped with a digital HDMI port and an analogue VGA (D-SUB) input. The audio track can be fed in via the analogue 3.5mm audio input or, conversely, output to external headphones or speakers via the 3.5mm audio output. It also includes a USB 2.0 Type-A port. An RS232 port is available for integration into control systems.

Native resolution vs. maximum resolution
Native resolution determines the actual number of physical pixels on the projector's imaging chip and defines the real sharpness of the image, while maximum resolution only indicates the highest signal the projector can receive and convert (downscale) to its native resolution. For a high-quality image, it is always crucial to look at the native resolution.Specifications
