The APC Smart-UPS SRT Li-Ion 1500VA RM 230V rackmount backup power supply is a powerful online UPS with double-conversion technology, which delivers a pure sine wave output to power servers and sensitive network electronics. With an apparent power of 1500VA and a real power of 1350W, it can handle even more demanding setups. Thanks to its internal lithium-ion battery, it provides a backup time of up to 20 minutes and 3 seconds at full load and 39 minutes at half load. The Smart-UPS with Li-Ion technology can be mounted in standard data cabinets, where it occupies 3U of height. It also offers advanced management options via USB, Ethernet, and an expansion SmartSlot for integration into monitoring systems.

Topology and performance

The backup power supply uses online double-conversion topology. This technology continuously regenerates the power supply and delivers a pure sine wave output, which is essential for sensitive electronic devices.

Lithium-ion battery and integrated protection

It uses an internal lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery, which typically takes 6 hours to fully charge. Users can easily replace the battery. It includes surge protection with an energy rating of 340J and a built-in automatic bypass in case of a fault. The cold start function starts the UPS from the battery even without an input power supply.

Management and software options

For communication and device management, it includes USB and Ethernet ports. The expansion SmartSlot enables the installation of an optional Network Management Card, which integrates the UPS into centralised monitoring systems. The included PowerChute Network Shutdown software for controlled shutdown of servers and virtual machines prevents data loss during a prolonged power outage.

Connectivity and sockets

An IEC 60320 C14 input connector is used to connect to the mains. For powering connected devices, there are eight output sockets of the IEC 60320 C13 type available.
