A 6+1+1 power delivery system ensures a stable power supply for the processor. To power the VCore processor cores, it uses the Dr.MOS system for efficient current distribution and better thermal properties. The board includes two DDR5 memory slots that support Dual Channel mode for higher data throughput. The total RAM capacity can reach up to 128GB, and the board supports both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles for easy memory frequency and timing adjustments.
Connectivity and storage options
For system expansion, it provides one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. Connectivity with peripherals is handled by a set of USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports in both Type-A and Type-C on the rear and front panels. The board offers fast 2.5Gbps LAN network connectivity and provides HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports for graphics output. For the system drive and fast applications, the board offers two Hyper M.2 slots. Both use the PCIe Gen4x4 interface with throughput up to 64Gb/s and support NVMe 2280-type drives as boot devices. For connecting additional drives, such as traditional HDDs or SATA SSDs, the board provides four SATA III ports with speeds of 6Gb/s. The board supports RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10 arrays for both SATA and M.2 NVMe storage devices.
Features and diagnostics
Several integrated tools make system management and maintenance easier. The BIOS Flashback button is used to update the firmware without a processor, memory or graphics card installed. After installing the operating system, the ASRock Auto Driver Installer activates, offering to download and install all the necessary drivers. For quick diagnostics during startup, the ASRock Post Status Checker indicates the status of the CPU, DRAM and VGA. For visual customisation of your build, the board offers ASRock Polychrome SYNC and connectors for both RGB and addressable ARGB strips.
