An Axial-tech fan and a low-profile heatsink under the shroud dissipate heat generated by the power components. This combination expels hot air quietly and efficiently. A phase-change GPU thermal pad, which melts to effectively fill the gaps between the GPU and the cooling module, provides high thermal conductivity and better heat dissipation.
Power delivery
Powerful 80-amp MOSFETs provide high overclocking potential while maintaining quiet operation. ASUS GPU Guard technology uses adhesive to secure all four corners to reduce the risk of cracks, while a GPU bracket helps ensure even mounting pressure and greater stability. The printed circuit board features a protective conformal coating to help shield it from short circuits caused by moisture, dust, or debris. ASUS Auto-Extreme Technology, an automated manufacturing process, completes all soldering in a single pass.
Tuning and modes
GPU Tweak III lets you easily tune your overclocking settings to achieve high performance. It includes OC and Quiet mode switches, an OC Scanner, and a voltage and frequency tuner for precise adjustments. Chassis fans can be synced directly with the card and tuned using a curve based on CPU and GPU temperatures. The card features Dual BIOS technology; in Performance mode, the fans spin up faster to keep the card cool at all times. Quiet mode maintains the same power target and top-end settings but offers a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at medium temperatures.
