The Asustor Drivestor 2 Pro Gen2 NAS network storage is designed for securely storing, backing up, and sharing data in both home and business environments. This Tower version offers two drive bays and supports RAID 0 and RAID 1 arrays. The device is powered by a quad-core Realtek RTD1619B processor, which works with 2GB of system memory. A 2.5Gb/s Ethernet port ensures a fast network connection. The case design enables tool-free installation of 3.5" hard drives and supports hot-swapping.

Processor and smooth 4K transcoding
At the heart of the Asustor Drivestor 2 Pro Gen2 NAS network storage is a 1.7GHz quad-core Realtek RTD1619B processor, complemented by an integrated iGPU graphics unit. This hardware enables smooth hardware transcoding of 10-bit 4K H.265 videos via the LooksGood application. This allows users to stream video content directly to their end devices without any stuttering.
Network connection
The device offers a single 2.5Gb/s Ethernet port, which surpasses the speed of a standard Gigabit connection. When configured in a RAID 1 array, it achieves read speeds of 283MB/s and write speeds of 280MB/s. Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available for connecting external peripherals.
Btrfs file system on the ARM platform
This device is the first ARM platform NAS server from ASUSTOR to support the modern Btrfs file system. Users can create snapshots in the Snapshot Center app to protect data from accidental changes or ransomware attacks. The system supports snapshots for iSCSI LUNs and shared folders.
Security with post-quantum cryptography
The ADM 5.1 operating system introduces support for NIST-certified PQC TLS hybrid encryption. The system uses the official version of the Kyber algorithm to protect transmitted data from future decryption threats. Security is further enhanced by a built-in firewall, ClamAV antivirus, and the option to encrypt folders using the AES-256 standard.
Multimedia centre and camera system
The Asustor Drivestor NAS network storage serves as a home entertainment hub with support for Full HD output and streaming via DLNA or UPnP. The App Central store features the Photo Gallery 3 photo management tool. The integrated surveillance centre offers 4 free IP camera licences, with the option to expand to up to 25 channels.
MyArchive cold backup
MyArchive technology lets you turn hard drives into removable archival media. Wake on LAN and Wake on WAN functions, along with mobile apps, are used for remote system power-on and management for data access. This allows users to perform regular data archiving to removable drives, which behave like external media when disconnected.
