The universal AXAGON ADSA-FPX FAST PORT X adapter with a USB-C 10Gbps and SATA 6G interface is designed for easily connecting a 2.5" / 3.5" SATA hard drive or SSD to a computer. Thanks to the fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface with transfer speeds of up to 10Gb/s, the speed of 2.5" SSDs is not limited and is approximately 20% higher than with adapters or enclosures using a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) interface.
Expanded options
The package includes a 60cm USB-C <–> USB-C cable with a permanently attached USB-C –> USB-A adapter. This solution increases the adapter's versatility, letting you connect it to any USB port on your computer, whether it's a reversible USB-C connector or a traditional USB-A connector. Also included is a 12V/2A (24W) power adapter for powering 3.5" hard drives. The adapter with a 2.5" SSD/HDD is powered solely by the USB bus, so you don't have to handle a mains power supply.
Practical features
The USB to SATA adapter also supports all the important features for seamless work with different types of drives. These include UASP for faster data transfer, TRIM to limit the gradual degradation of SSD performance over time, S.M.A.R.T. for monitoring drive health, BOOT for the ability to boot from drives connected to the adapter, Auto Spindown for automatically putting drives to sleep during longer periods of inactivity, Turn Off for switching off drives after removing the device or putting the PC to sleep, and USB Bus Power for powering the adapter and connected 2.5" drives from the USB bus.
