Bosch

Bosch is a German company known primarily for the production of household appliances, electric and cordless tools, and garden equipment. It is also an important supplier of parts and equipment for the automotive industry. Bosch also offers a range of industrial technologies and security solutions.

A little bit of history

Bosch was founded in Stuttgart in 1886 by Robert Bosch as a workshop for precision mechanics and electrical engineering. At first, the company focussed mainly on the production of low-voltage magnetos for gas motors. Over time, however, the company's product list expanded to include:

A true pioneer

During its history, Bosch has achieved many world firsts, the best known being the first anti-lock braking system (ABS). Bosch is also one of the world's leading manufacturers of cordless screwdrivers with lithium-ion technology. The first model was the IXO cordless screwdriver, which in 2004 was the best-selling tool in Europe.
