A CPU cooler has been designed to dissipate waste heat and continuously lower the CPU temperature. Although most processors come with a basic CPU cooler, its performance is limited and buying a third-party CPU cooler will always reduce temperatures and noise. Lower processor temperatures mean a longer processor life and the potential for overclocking.
