The Eaton UPS 5P 1150iR 1U provides reliable power protection for servers, network components and data storage. This rackmount UPS uses a line-interactive topology with automatic voltage regulation, which actively compensates for mains fluctuations without unnecessarily switching to battery power. With an apparent power of 1150VA and a real power of 770W, it delivers a pure sine wave output, which is essential for operating sensitive electronics. Its high efficiency of up to 98% reduces operating costs and heat generation in the data centre. In the event of a complete power failure, it provides 4.5 minutes of backup at full load and 11.5 minutes at half load. This is sufficient time to shut down operations safely. The compact 1U design makes efficient use of space in a rack cabinet. Its form factor is designed for mounting in a 19" rack, where it takes up 1U of height.

Topology and performance
This UPS operates with a line-interactive topology, which stabilises the output voltage via automatic voltage regulation without switching to battery power. At full load, the unit operates at 98% efficiency. This high value contributes to lower power and cooling costs. The backup time is 4.5 minutes at 100% load, extending to 11.5 minutes at half load, providing ample time for a controlled system shutdown.
Battery and protection
The unit is fitted with two maintenance-free 12V/9Ah lead-acid batteries. It features hot-swappable, user-replaceable batteries to simplify maintenance. ABM technology actively manages the charging process and helps to extend battery life. Protection features include surge protection, deep discharge protection and potential-free contacts for remote shutdown.
Management and monitoring
USB and RS-232 communication ports are available for management and status monitoring. A clear graphical LCD displays key operational data and simplifies configuration. A slot for an optional card expands remote management capabilities via an SNMP network or industrial interfaces. The included Eaton Intelligent Power Protector software handles the automatic and safe shutdown of connected systems during a prolonged power outage.
Connectivity and sockets
An IEC C14 input connector is used for connecting to the mains. For powering your equipment, there are six IEC C13 output sockets. An important feature is that all output sockets are battery-backed and protected against surges. This ensures a stable power supply for all connected devices.
