EATON UPS 5PX 1000i RT2U Gen2

The Eaton UPS 5PX 1000i RT2U Gen2 is a line-interactive solution for protecting servers, network components and data storage. With a real power output of 1000W and an apparent power of 1000VA, supporting a power factor of 1.0, it powers modern IT equipment without compromise. The line-interactive topology with a high efficiency of 98% reduces operating costs and heat production. At full load, it provides power for 17 minutes, giving you plenty of time for a controlled system shutdown. The flexible 2U design can be installed in a 19" rack or as a standalone tower, adapting to any environment.

Power and efficiency

The Eaton UPS operates with a line-interactive topology, achieving high efficiency of up to 98% in normal mode. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) corrects undervoltage and overvoltage without switching to battery power, thus preserving battery capacity. An output power factor of 1.0 means that the apparent power of 1000VA corresponds to the real power of 1000W. At full load, it powers connected devices for 17 minutes.

Battery and protection features of the Eaton 5PX Gen2

Inside, it houses four maintenance-free lead-acid batteries (4× 12V / 7Ah) that can be easily replaced by the user without professional service. ABM battery management technology extends battery life through intelligent charging, and deep discharge protection prevents irreversible damage. The UPS automatically detects external battery modules for easy extension of the backup time.

Advanced management and monitoring

A wide range of interfaces is available for communication and management. It offers a USB port (HID compatible), a serial RS232 port, and a mini-terminal block for remote on/off and remote power off (ROO/RPO). A slot for an optional communication card enables integration into the network for remote management. The included Eaton Intelligent Power Protector software manages the safe and automatic shutdown of systems during a prolonged power outage. The UPS is powered via a standard IEC C14 connector. To power protected servers and network components, it provides eight IEC C13 output sockets. All output ports are fully backed up and protected against surges.
