The Eaton 9PX 1500i backup power supply with Li-Ion battery uses on-line double-conversion topology, which continuously regenerates the input voltage to ensure a zero switchover time to battery during an outage. With a power rating of 1500VA / 1500W and a unity power factor of 1, it delivers full active power for modern IT loads with active power factor correction. This online UPS provides a pure sine wave output, which is essential for sensitive electronic devices. A high operating efficiency of 97.5% in on-line mode significantly reduces running costs for cooling and electricity. The extended-life Li-Ion battery provides 10 minutes of backup time at full load.

Stable power and high efficiency

The on-line double-conversion topology fully isolates connected equipment from all power grid disturbances, including voltage spikes, sags, undervoltage, overvoltage, and frequency instability. The UPS consistently supplies a stable and clean voltage regardless of the input current's condition. An efficiency of 97.5% reduces thermal stress on components, thereby extending their lifespan. Lower waste heat production also means reduced cooling demands in the server room and direct savings on operating costs.

Li-Ion battery

The integrated lithium-ion battery offers significant advantages over traditional lead-acid batteries. Its lifespan is up to twice as long, which dramatically reduces the need for service interventions and the total cost of ownership. The battery also recharges faster and can handle a greater number of charging cycles. A backup time of 10 minutes at a full load of 1500W provides enough time to safely shut down servers and other critical systems during a prolonged power outage.

Advanced management and connectivity

The versatile Tower/Rack design offers deployment flexibility. The unit can be installed in a standard 19" data cabinet using the included mounting rails, or it can stand alone as a tower with the supplied stands. The compact 2U height saves space in the rack. A clear LCD panel displays key parameters in real time, such as load status, remaining backup time, voltage, and frequency. The package includes a Netpack network communication card. This enables advanced remote management and monitoring via a web interface or SNMP protocol, which is a key element for managing critical infrastructure. This rack UPS thus represents a comprehensive solution for power protection and management in server rooms and data centres. Eight IEC C13 output sockets are provided for powering connected devices. These are complemented by two IEC Jumper outputs for directly connecting and powering another device without needing a PDU.
