The Eaton 9SX 2000 VA Tower UPS protects the power supply for critical infrastructure. It uses on-line double-conversion technology, which continuously monitors the power status and regenerates the output voltage. This isolates connected devices from all power grid failures, including voltage fluctuations, frequency deviations, or complete outages. It provides an apparent power of 2000VA and a real power of 1800W. The online UPS delivers a pure sine wave output, which is essential for sensitive IT equipment, servers, network components, industrial control systems, and medical devices.

The Eaton 9SX UPS operates on an online double-conversion topology, which constantly filters and stabilises the power supply. This process removes all anomalies from the input grid and delivers a pure sine wave output with precise voltage and frequency. The high operating efficiency reaches 92.3% in online mode, which helps reduce electricity consumption and heat production. This lowers the total operating costs and cooling demands in the server room. In addition, the RJ-45 port provides surge protection for the data line. The backup time can be easily extended by connecting up to four hot-swappable external battery modules (EBMs). The system automatically detects the connected modules and recalculates the available battery runtime. Its Tower format is designed for free-standing placement on the floor or in a cabinet.
Clear controls and software integration
The graphical LCD display shows all key operating parameters, such as UPS status, load level, battery capacity, and measured values. Its position can be physically adjusted for better readability. With an optional network card and Eaton Intelligent Power software, the UPS integrates into VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation environments, where it manages the safe shutdown of virtual machines during a prolonged power outage. For advanced control scenarios, a mini terminal block is available, which includes an input for remote power off (RPO) and a programmable output relay for status signalling. To power connected appliances, the UPS includes eight IEC 320 C13 output sockets. For communication with a computer or server, it uses USB and RS-232 ports, which support basic management and monitoring.
