Elixir 19027 Optiweb strings are designed for electric guitars, combining a natural feel with extended lifespan. Thanks to the special OPTIWEB coating, they maintain the bright, crisp tone typical of uncoated strings. OPTIWEB technology for natural sound
Elixir strings use OPTIWEB technology, which is a lightweight coating. This layer protects the string winding from dirt and finger oils that would otherwise cause rapid tone loss. Unlike thicker coatings, OPTIWEB maintains a natural feel and bright sound comparable to traditional uncoated strings. This results in long-lasting tone and extended lifespan. The protection is complemented by an Anti-Rust treatment on the plain steel strings, which prevents corrosion.
