Fractal Design HDD Tray Kit Type B Black
Fractal Design HDD Tray Kit Type B Black
The Fractal Design HDD Tray Kit Type B set is used to directly increase the storage capacity of your computer build. The package contains two separate mounting brackets, which are fully prepared for fitting both standard 3.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs) and smaller 2.5-inch SSD or HDD units. A key element of the design is the integrated rubber grommets. These features effectively isolate the drive from the case chassis, absorbing its operational vibrations and limiting the spread of resonant noise, which contributes to the quieter operation of the entire computer.

Accessory Installation
The package includes all the mounting hardware needed for the immediate installation of two storage drives. The set includes 6-32 screws for securing 3.5-inch drives and M3 screws for 2.5-inch SSDs. To attach the trays themselves to the case, use the included thumbscrews, which remain attached to the bracket, making tool-free handling easier. The manufacturer specifically designed these brackets for use in cases that utilise Type B mounting positions. These are primarily the Fractal Design Define 7 and Meshify 2 cases, including their larger XL variants.
