Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an award-winning game from the legendary Monolith studio with an open world of Middle-earth by J.RR Tolkien, where the player takes on the role of Talion, the ranger and guardian of the Black Gate, whose family was killed by the Dark Lord's servants during the night when Sauron and his army returned to Mordor. Reborn by the incarnation of Elf Lord Celebrimbor, Talion longs for vengeance and discovers that he is no longer a common mortal - he lives somewhere between the realm of ghosts and humans. It gives him a number of special abilities that will help him in the upcoming battle that will not only feed his desire for vengeance but will help to delay the possible destruction of the whole of Middle-earth.
Stunning graphics and environments
Because of the highly modified LithTech engine, all the environments look absolutely realistic, including the detailed furrows of different types on the ground. The advanced motion capture method makes the animations look natural, and the special effects were created together with the WETA SFX company who created the special effects for both the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit trilogy - a movie feel is guaranteed.
Innovative Nemesis system
One of the most important elements of the original game was the addition of a special system in which the player has a chance to influence how the next development unfolds. Since the main adversaries are the orcs and their chiefs, something is always happening and the individual battles between the groups of orcs will result in the death of one and the acceptance of the dominion of the other. The player has a chance to influence this hierarchy, and even take control over the individual orcs and use them to their advantage.

The GOTY edition's advantage in addition to a long-lasting experience within the main campaign is the presence of all add-ons and expansions that have been released so far. The GOTY Edition includes "The Lord of the Hunt", "The Bright Lord", "Guardians of the Flaming Warband", "The Berserks Warband" missions and many more. You will also receive all the additional runes as well as the skins that were featured in the special editions of the game - "Dark Ranger" and "Captain of the Watch".
