High-end Intel X299 chipset
The GIGABYTE UD4 motherboard is built on the latest Intel X299 chipset, designed for the Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors. Among them is the extremely powerful Intel Core i9-7900X CPU with ten cores, though there are plans for an incredible 18-core chip as well. For DDR4 RAM modules, there is a total of 8 Quad Channel slots with a maximum frequency of 2400MHz or 4333MHz when overclocking.

For enhanced CPU overclocking, the board is equipped with a Turbo B-Clock tuning chip. This allows you to set the Base Clock frequency (BCLK) in the 90MHz to 500MHz range.
