Grandstream GWN7670, Wi-Fi 7

Grandstream GWN7670, Wi-Fi 7
The Grandstream GWN7670 access point with Wi-Fi 7 is an indoor wireless device designed for business networks that require high throughput and reliability. It operates on the latest Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard, which delivers double the channel width, lower latency and higher capacity compared to previous generations. This dual-band device uses the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands and provides an aggregated wireless throughput of up to 3570Mbps. Thanks to advanced technologies like MLO (Multi-Link Operation) and 4K-QAM, it efficiently manages data flows and the connection of a large number of clients in densely populated environments.
Key features of the Grandstream GWN7670 Wi-Fi 7 access point
- Transmission technologies including MU-MIMO and MLO
- Signal range of up to 175m
- Network capacity for 256 concurrently connected devices
- Two 2.5Gbit Ethernet ports
- Network security with WPA3 standard and secure boot
- Management via cloud, software, app or built-in controller
- Powered by PoE/PoE+ (802.3af/at) technology
- Supports the creation of up to 32 separate SSIDs
- QoS function controls traffic priority on the network
Access point performance
The access point uses the Wi-Fi 7 standard, which brings higher speeds and lower latency. The device operates concurrently in two bands and, thanks to technologies like 2×2 MU-MIMO and MLO (Multi-Link Operation), it efficiently serves multiple connected devices at once. The total aggregated throughput reaches almost 3570Mbps, with up to 2882Mbps in the 5GHz band and up to 688Mbps in the 2.4GHz band. Additionally, the QoS (Quality of Service) feature manages network traffic priority for delay-sensitive applications.
Coverage, capacity and network management
The access point covers an area with a range of up to 175m. It can handle up to 256 concurrently connected client devices and supports the creation of up to 32 separate SSIDs, 16 for each radio band. Centralised network management is free and available via the GDMS cloud platform, local GWN Manager software, a mobile app, or through the built-in controller, which can manage up to 50 other local GWN access points.
Advanced security and connectivity
Modern encryption standards, including WPA3, protect wireless communication. The security features also include a separate guest network (Guest Zone) and advanced protection mechanisms. Anti-hacking secure boot and the locking of critical data with digital signatures enhance protection against unauthorised interference. Each device also has a unique security certificate and a randomly generated default password for increased security. The device offers two 2.5Gbit Ethernet ports for connecting to a wired network, which can be configured as WAN or LAN. Power over Ethernet support simplifies installation. The device supports 802.3af and 802.3at standards with a maximum power consumption of 14.5W and automatically adapts power based on the detected source.
