The HiLook NVR-208MH-C/8P(E) network recorder records and processes video footage from connected IP cameras. This desktop device supports up to eight IP cameras simultaneously and processes an incoming data stream of up to 80Mbps. The outgoing bandwidth is also 80Mbps, ensuring smooth remote access. This network video recorder stores continuous video footage from eight cameras for later analysis of network events. Users can utilise a wide range of network protocols including IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, NTP, RTSP, SMTP, NFS, or HTTPS for a secure network connection. Users can control the recorder remotely using a mobile app with P2P technology for quick pairing. The mobile app shows both live previews and older saved recordings from any location with an internet connection, and facilitates two-way audio thanks to the RCA audio input and output. The system also supports the control of PTZ cameras and data backup via two integrated USB 2.0 ports.

Camera power supply
The device integrates 8 IEEE 802.3af/at standard PoE ports with an RJ-45 interface and a speed of 10/100Mbps. The total power budget for the cameras is 80W, while a 48V DC power supply with a current of 2.5A powers the entire recorder. The recorder transmits both power and data over a single ethernet cable to each endpoint, simplifying camera installation. The power consumption of the recorder itself, without connected hard drives and with PoE power turned off, does not exceed 15W.
Video compression
The recorder supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 compression formats. These formats reduce the demands on hard drive capacity and the load on the local network during data transfer. You can install up to two SATA hard drives in the device, with a capacity of up to 8TB per drive. The total internal storage capacity is up to 16TB, providing ample space for long-term backup and continuous recording.
High resolution
The device supports recording in up to 4K resolution, which corresponds to 4096×2160 pixels. The HDMI and VGA video outputs work in simultaneous mode for display on two monitors. The HDMI output transmits an image at a resolution of up to 3840×2160 pixels at a frequency of 30Hz to the connected display device. The VGA output provides a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at a frequency of 60Hz for standard monitors. The recorder can decode one channel at 8MP resolution or four channels at 1080p.
Detection functions
The recorder uses Motion Detection 2.0 technology to analyse images and detect motion, intrusion, or vehicles. The system can accurately distinguish between the movement of people and cars and other influences. In the event of an intrusion into a selected zone or loss of video signal, the device immediately sends an alert to the user in the form of a mobile notification. The alarm will also be triggered if the camera's view is obstructed, increasing the overall security of the monitored property.
