Operating system in the Homatics Dongle Lite media centre
The device runs on the Google TV 14 operating system, which brings streaming services together on one screen. The 32GB of internal eMMC flash storage is used to store apps and data.
High-resolution playback
The device supports playback in 4K Ultra HD resolution at 60 frames per second. Integrated HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG technology expands the contrast range and improves detail in both bright and dark scenes on compatible TVs. The video decoder supports the modern AV1 codec for more efficient data transfer when streaming content. The player also decodes VP9, H.265 HEVC and MPEG-4 formats.
Audio technologies
The media player supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio formats for an immersive listening experience. These technologies create spatial audio when connected to a compatible TV or external audio system. This gives you a clear sound experience for films, TV series and games. The device also supports DTS and Dolby Digital Plus formats, and can handle MP3, AAC, WMA, RM, FLAC and Ogg audio files.
Wireless connectivity and sharing
The built-in Chromecast feature lets you wirelessly mirror photos, videos and music from your mobile phone, tablet or laptop directly to your TV screen. A stable network connection is ensured by dual-band Wi-Fi 5, which operates on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The media centre uses Bluetooth 5.0 BLE technology to connect wireless peripherals such as headphones or speakers.
Voice control
The included remote control communicates via both Bluetooth and infrared and has a built-in microphone for voice commands. The Google Assistant helps you find films, launch apps or control connected smart home devices. The remote also has dedicated buttons for quick-launching Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video, plus a user-programmable button with a rocket symbol.
Game and app support
A quad-core Amlogic processor with a total output of 20000 DMIPS is complemented by 2GB of DDR RAM. This hardware configuration is ideal for running games downloaded from the Google Play Store.
