KEF Coda W speakers deliver detailed, natural and evenly dispersed sound thanks to their 12th-generation 5.25" Uni-Q drivers, which create a wide and precise spatial soundstage. MIE technology uses specially tuned DSP algorithms to optimise the interplay between individual components for a precise and balanced performance. KEF Coda W speakers are equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless, which enables streaming in CD quality at up to 16-bit / 44.1kHz. Thanks to their wide connectivity, you can also easily connect a turntable via the PHONO input, a TV via HDMI, or a computer via USB-C. With its versatile connectivity, KEF Coda W easily becomes the centre of your home audio. You can connect a TV, turntable and computer to the speakers, while Bluetooth 5.4 lets you wirelessly stream music, podcasts and other content from your phone or tablet. There is also an output for connecting a subwoofer, letting you expand the system with even deeper bass. KEF Coda W enables you to use a single HiFi system for listening to music, watching films and everyday entertainment without needing a separate amplifier.
Wireless listening in CD quality with aptX Lossless
With KEF Coda W speakers, you can easily stream your favourite music, playlists or podcasts directly from your smartphone or tablet. Bluetooth 5.4 with the aptX Lossless codec ensures a stable wireless connection and enables audio transmission in CD quality at up to 16-bit / 44.1kHz. This lets you enjoy detailed and clear sound with the KEF Coda W without needing to connect your source device with a cable.
Easily connect KEF Coda W speakers to a turntable or CD player
Thanks to the integrated phono pre-amp, you can connect most turntables directly to the speakers without any extra equipment and enjoy the distinctive sound of your vinyl collection. For turntables with their own phono pre-amp, an RCA (LINE) input is also available. You can use the same input to connect a CD player via an AUX/RCA cable, making it easy to play your music collection from various sources with the KEF Coda W.
More immersive TV sound with HDMI ARC
With KEF Coda W, you can easily enhance your TV's sound with a single cable. The HDMI ARC interface transmits audio from films, series and other content directly to the speakers, letting you enjoy a more detailed and impressive HiFi performance. What's more, you can conveniently control the speaker volume with your existing TV remote, so you don't need another remote for regular viewing.
KEF Coda W offers a USB-C input for computer connection
Using the USB-C input, you can easily connect KEF Coda W speakers to your desktop computer or laptop for high-quality sound for both work and play. A wired digital connection ensures clear and detailed performance when listening to music, gaming or on video calls. This means you can also use KEF Coda W as a versatile HiFi system for your workspace or gaming area.
Easily add a KEF subwoofer to your KEF Coda W speakers
KEF Coda W speakers are equipped with a separate subwoofer output, so you can easily expand your system with a compatible KEF subwoofer. This gives you deeper, more impressive bass that adds greater dynamics to film effects and gives music the impact it needs in the lowest frequencies. You can customise the speaker system to your requirements and create an even more immersive audio experience for both music and films.
Intuitive controls on the speaker and in the app
You can conveniently control the speakers using the intuitive buttons on the top panel, which provide quick access to basic functions. The KEF Connect app offers more options, letting you select equaliser presets, switch and manage sound sources, or simply update the firmware. This makes it easy to set up the KEF Coda W to your listening preferences directly from your smartphone.
Easy speaker placement in any room
The KEF Coda W set includes a 3-metre interconnect cable for the speakers, giving you plenty of flexibility when arranging them in your room. To achieve the optimal listening height, you can also complement the KEF Coda W with the optional KEF SQ1 floor stands, which make it easy to place the speakers in the ideal listening position.
The Coda tradition in a modern design
The KEF Coda W speakers build on the tradition of the original Coda series, which has offered quality HiFi sound in a compact and affordable package since the 1970s. The new generation brings the original concept into the present day, combining it with modern acoustic technologies, wireless connectivity, and versatile connections. The Ponti Design Studio collaborated with the KEF design team on the look of the KEF Coda W, with the final design blending the elegance of Italian design with the simplicity of Japanese minimalism.
System type
An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier, so all you need to do is connect it to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly, to listen.Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are designed for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent moving. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect a variety of sources via a separate amplifier.
Number of channels
The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent audio signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in an X.Y format (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). This tells you how many audio tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the spatial experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and higher).Specifications
