Performance with the Seagate IronWolf Pro drive
Inside is an enterprise-class Seagate IronWolf Pro drive with a 10TB capacity and a speed of 7200 rpm. This hard drive handles a continuous workload of up to 300TB per year, which meets the demands of 24×7 deployment and operation. Smooth power management and high performance are complemented by a read speed of up to 240MB/s, which is sufficient for seamless work with large files.
Connectivity
Its wide range of connectivity is a major advantage. It offers two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one USB 3.2 port, SD and CF memory card readers, and a DisplayPort 1.4 output for monitor connection. The Thunderbolt 3 port lets you simultaneously transfer data, display video, and power your laptop, meaning fewer cables on your desk and no need for multiple separate adapters.
Cooling and reliability
Active cooling keeps the drive's operating temperature within optimal limits, even under intensive workloads. The thermoregulated fan works with the aluminium body, which acts as a passive heatsink. The entire aluminium body efficiently dissipates heat and contributes to the long-term reliability of the internal components. This system ensures stable performance during long operations, such as rendering or copying large volumes of data.
Removable drive in the storage bay
The design allows for easy maintenance or future capacity upgrades. An accessible front-facing drawer makes it easy to replace or upgrade the internal hard drive without having to completely disassemble the entire device. This is practical not only in the event of a failure, but also in situations where you need to physically transfer a project drive or archive old data and insert a new drive for further work.
