Design
The drive's appearance was created by designer Neil Poulton with an emphasis on clean lines and functionality. Its construction uses aluminium, which effectively helps to dissipate heat and protects the internal components. The compact size and low weight make it easy to carry in a backpack or laptop bag.
Universal connectivity and backup
The LaCie portable HDD is plug-and-play, so it’s ready to use with both PC and Mac computers straight out of the box, with no need to install drivers. Thanks to the USB-C connector, you can also connect it to supported iPad and iPhone devices without an adapter. For systematic data management, use the LaCie Toolkit software for automatic backups. The application offers scheduled file synchronisation between multiple devices or simple one-click backups.
