The Mikrotik RBcAPGi-5acD2nD-XL WiFi Access Point is a dual-band access point designed for indoor ceiling or wall mounting. This WiFi 5 access point uses the 802.11ac standard and achieves a combined transfer speed of up to 1200Mbps, split between 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 867Mbps on the 5GHz band. Its design includes a redesigned high-gain antenna, which extends wireless coverage by up to 100% compared to previous cAP versions.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 connectivity
The ceiling-mounted WiFi AP operates simultaneously on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. It supports the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard and offers a total theoretical speed of 1200Mbps. The speed on the 2.4GHz band is 300Mbps and on the 5GHz band it reaches 867Mbps. For stable data transmission on both frequencies, it uses dual-chain 2×2 MIMO technology, which manages smooth data flow for multiple connected devices at once and contributes to strong 360-degree coverage.
Extended coverage and design of the Mikrotik access point
The access point uses an improved high-gain antenna with higher sensitivity and an integrated reflector. This combination significantly increases the range of the wireless signal and effectively covers larger areas. The low-profile design, with a diameter of 191mm and a height of 42mm, is intended for discreet installation on a ceiling or wall, where it is unobtrusive and does not disrupt the interior design. Ceiling placement also reduces signal attenuation issues caused by obstacles.
Performance and management with RouterOS
The device is powered by a 4-core ARM IPQ-4018 processor with an automatically managed frequency between 488 and 896MHz, complemented by 128MB of RAM. This hardware setup ensures stable operation even under heavier network loads. The access point uses the RouterOS operating system with a Level 4 licence, which provides advanced configuration options, IPv6 protocol support, and ensures long-term support through software updates.
Flexible power and gigabit ports
Two gigabit ethernet ports are available for wired connections. The first port supports PoE-IN power via the 802.3af/at standard with a voltage range of 18–57V. The second port, on the other hand, offers a passive PoE-OUT function with a voltage of up to 57V, which enables you to power another device directly from the access point, such as an IP camera or another AP.
