Navpoint is an action space strategy game where you take on the role of an interstellar traffic controller. Your task is to coordinate the movement of goods on cargo ships and oversee passenger cruise liners. The game offers a sophisticated system that will appeal mainly to experienced strategists. You will face various challenges, from natural disasters to terrorist threats and pirate raids. The goal is to maintain safe and smooth operations throughout the sector.

Career and Freeplay

The Navpoint game offers two main modes. In the single-player campaign, you will start your career on a backwater moon and gradually work your way up to the position of traffic coordinator for the entire solar system. If you prefer freedom, you will appreciate the Freeplay mode. Here, you can choose from a dozen different maps and play without the constraints of story missions, exactly according to your own rules and strategic goals.

Micromanagement of Space Traffic

Detailed traffic management is at the core of the game. Your task is not just to set final destinations, but also to actively manage traffic. For individual ship types, such as cruisers, frigates, cargo vessels, or luxury yachts, you can set an individual maximum speed. Proper setup and coordination are key to preventing collisions and ensuring a smooth flow of goods and passengers in busy space.

Unexpected Challenges and Security Threats

Space is not always a safe place, and you will have to face a number of unpredictable events. Challenges include floods of refugees, quarantined ships, natural disasters, and terrorist threats. Against pirate raids, you will deploy law enforcement patrols to maintain a safe space status. The game also includes combating illegal trade, for which specially designated ships are used.
