The Optoma ML1080ST is a compact and lightweight portable projector that uses an RGB triple laser light source. Image and colour reproduction
The projector is built on DLP technology and Full HD resolution. The RGB triple laser light source covers 105% of the BT.2020 colour space, which results in accurate colour display. A brightness of 1200 ANSI lumens and a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 support visual depth and detail. Support for HDR and HLG content further enhances the display in both dark and bright parts of a scene. The native aspect ratio is 16:9 with compatibility for the 4:3 format, and the image size can be adjusted from 60" to 100".
Laser light source and operating features
The DuraCore Laser light source has a lifespan of up to 30000 hours, which eliminates the need for replacement. The operating noise ranges between 24dB and 28dB, depending on the selected mode. The projector's power consumption ranges from 32W in eco mode to 57W at maximum power. The laser technology and eco-friendly design reduce energy consumption by up to 58% compared to lamp-based projectors. It is manufactured using 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics and its packaging is 99% recyclable.
Short throw and automatic setup
With a throw ratio of 0.78:1 (Short Throw), the projector creates a 100" image from a distance of approximately 1.7 metres from the projection surface. Integrated Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology ensures fast and precise image setup. The projector performs automatic focusing and geometry correction without the need for manual intervention. Manual keystone correction offers a range of ±40° for both vertical and horizontal axes. The device also supports 360° projection and portrait mode.
Projector connectivity options
The connectivity includes one HDMI 2.1 input, two USB-A ports for powering external devices (1.5A and 0.5A), and one 3.5mm audio output. The projector itself is powered by a USB-C port that supports the PD 3.0 standard. For management purposes, there is an RS232 port implemented via a mini USB connector.

Native resolution vs. maximum resolution
