The Peak Design Outdoor Backpack is designed to carry photographic equipment, clothing and other gear during outdoor activities. This single-compartment backpack has a basic volume of 20L, which can be expanded by 5L thanks to the roll-top opening. The manufacturer chose 100% recycled 210D Terra Shell nylon with an internal polyurethane coating for its construction. The Fair Trade certified design withstands the elements and protects the contents from moisture. The empty weight of the backpack is 1.15kg.

Harness System with Vest-Style Straps
The shoulder straps use a design inspired by running vests, which distributes the weight of the load over a larger area of the body. There are two elastic mesh pockets on the straps for storing your phone or small items. The padded back panel with a central ventilation channel promotes airflow along the spine while walking. There are also two height-adjustable sternum straps to secure the Peak Design Outdoor Backpack more firmly to your body.
Accessing the Camera Backpack
The Peak Design Outdoor Backpack offers two independent entrances to the main compartment for quick handling of contents. The top roll-top entry has a magnetic closure and an Ultra Cinch tightening system. The 8mm UltraZip on the back panel makes it easy to organise the internal space when packing your gear. This opening method also protects the back system from getting dirty when the backpack is placed on the ground.
Modular Interior Space
The internal space works with optional organisers and protective camera cases. The Peak Design Outdoor Backpack allows you to store one Smedium size Camera Cube, on top of which another X-Small size module can be placed. The integrated internal pocket allows you to store a 15" laptop or a hydration bladder. An opening at the top is used to run the water bladder tube.
External Pockets
Three external Flex Pockets provide space for storing water bottles, hiking poles or tripods on the sides of the Peak Design Outdoor Backpack. The central Flex Pocket is used for storing a jacket or a hydration bladder. Two smaller waterproof pockets with UltraZips are used to store small items. Two Cord Hook straps and two elastic Gear Loops made of durable UHMWPE fibre are used to attach additional gear to the outside.
Durable Materials and Moisture Protection
The top layer of recycled 210D Terra Shell ripstop nylon has a water-repellent finish free of PFAS chemicals. The bottom and front panel have additional thermoplastic polyurethane lamination for increased abrasion resistance. The UltraZips used contain highly durable polyethylene fibres for long-lasting functionality. The entire Peak Design Outdoor Backpack is produced with a zero carbon footprint.
Variability for Comfortable Use
The roll-top section serves to increase the basic volume to a total of 25L. A padded hip belt with a zip pocket and mounts is sold separately for the Peak Design Outdoor Backpack. Both the shoulder straps and the hip belt have mounts for the Capture quick-release clip for carrying a camera at the ready. The backpack thus meets the needs of one-day photo trips as well as everyday carry.
