I ordered this monitor and selected delivery to AlzaBox. But I made a mistake - the package is bigger and it won't fit in the smaller boxes. In my case, the order was automatically cancelled, which was a bit disappointing at first. I recommend not to choose the classic AlzaBox (not XXL) for larger products such as monitors if you are not sure about the size of the box. Fortunately, I contacted customer support, who responded very helpfully and helpfully - they sorted everything out and the next day a courier delivered the monitor to my home at no extra charge. After unpacking, I was pleased to see that the monitor arrived without a single defective pixel - the picture is perfect and the device is fully functional. So overall satisfaction, just beware of the delivery method.
Fantastic picture - High-resolution IPS panel (QHD, 2560×1440) with a refresh rate of up to 280Hz for a smooth gaming experience.
Great colours and viewing angles - thanks to IPS technology, colours are vivid and consistent even when viewed from the side. This was especially noticeable when playing Cyberpunk 2077 - the neon effects and colourful atmosphere of the city are absolutely captivating even when viewed from different angles.
Design and build quality - Alienware's futuristic look with stylish RGB backlighting and quality construction.
Support for G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro - No image tearing even in fast-paced scenes
Higher price - you pay extra for quality, but in this class it is understandable.
Default colours require tweaking - out of the box, you may need to adjust the image settings slightly. For example, HDR (DisplayHDR 600) was initially too bright and aggressive for me, so I had to adjust the brightness, contrast and colour values to my own preferences. After calibration, however, the image looks natural and very pleasant.
Limited use of 280 Hz - most games won't take full advantage of this high refresh rate without very powerful graphics. But without overclocking (OC) enabled, the monitor runs at the classic 240Hz, which is absolutely ideal for most scenarios. I see the possibility to switch to 280 Hz in the future as a nice reserve for the next years, for example when hardware or games allow higher frame rates.
great frequency, after the transition from 165Hz it is noticeable (when you have the FPS for it)
backlight and buttons can be set on and off
can be overclocked to 280Hz
4 functions can be set as a shortcut and you can access them more quickly. I use the 2-press frequency display
the colors look good
IPS classic backlight bleed, but it is visible really only when the monitor does not display anything (during operation I do not notice at all)
the illuminated logos at the back are useless, because they are at the back and you don't enjoy them and each one is a different size, i.e. at night they create a different light on the wall, it is almost necessary to turn them off. a couple of ice strips would have been much better
for 10bit color depth you need to switch to desktop HDR mode, but you can turn off HDR function, a bit confusing
I first bought a Gigabyte M27Q X to save a bit of money, but for some reason the panel strains my eyes even in the daytime, and its luminance in SDR mode is 41 cd/m² at 0 brightness/contrast, so even at 0 it still glows and can't be adjusted so that it's not even more annoying to the eyes when the light is off. The Dell is great to adjust across the range to suit any light or dimmed room. I'd watch out for those values now. I really have nothing to complain about with this monitor, see the listed pluses.
Beautiful image, rich colours
280hz/10bit
Processing
Response in games
Minimum brightness/contrast value where the image is pleasing to the eye after reduction even in a dark room
Really black color have Oledy, but they have other flaws, here with IPS panel I have nothing to complain about
On the one hand, a very nice and well-functioning monitor, on the other hand, it has a very visible backlight bleed in dark games and dark scenes, which is a pity (and it is certainly not just my piece). If you don't really need 240hz but want a monitor for work and play, I recommend the cheaper 165hz Dell G2724D, I have it too.
Simply amazing, but not worth the price. At first I was worried about the transition from 1080p to 1440p because I primarily play FPS games, but when you have it side by side, it' s an incredible difference. If you have a powerful set-up that doesn' t require 2K as much, I would definitely go for it. The colors look great compared to the old Zowie monitor, and the overclock to 280Hz is also quite visible compared to 144Hz. Just the price.
I have to say, for the money, it's really great. 4K doesn't make much sense for games today anyway, and 1440P is more than a nice resolution. Played on the lineup: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
G. Skill DDR5 48GB 6000Mhz
And also PS5
A great monitor for the money
Nice colours
High refresh rate
High brightness
Really quite nice HDR
Excellent stand
Adequate resolution
