After a week of use I can summarize my impressions.
1. The dock supports up to 100w but you have to reckon with the fact that some energy is taken by the other ports + the dock itself and therefore you do not get the full watts you have in the charger. I have a 75w charger and I got a warning from my ntb that I have to have a stronger charger when I power it through the dock, otherwise not.
So I bought a 100w transformer + cable that can handle it and since then everything is fine
2. DP ports and grain on the screens - yes it happens, but only if you have a DP to hdmi connection to the monitor. When you have DP and DP, it goes great
3. It doesn't melt and it hardly ever does.
4. I would appreciate maybe a longer cable from the dock to the ntb
