I've been using Kindle readers for over a decade, I can compare experiences with five models as I upgrade over the years. I currently have a previous generation Paperwhite (2021 model) and this. Paperwhite is better on paper, but this little green Kindle is three years newer again. And the changes are visible - a beautifully sharp display, the whole reader is light and tiny. Compared to my older Paperwhite, it's not such a fingerprint magnet. The software is beautifully snappy. I miss the backlight temperature setting, only the Paperwhite models have that - but this matcha Kindle is really just a basic model, so it must be missing something. Otherwise, I'm completely satisfied, which is surprising since it was a downgrade in my case. In the black boredom of readers, this Kindle still stands out with its beautiful pastel colour.
