My previous experience with APC was always positive, the UPSs lasted for years and the batteries too. That is unfortunately in the past. So I recommend not to buy and to buy a quality inverter (fast switching, clean sine) together with a LiFePO4 battery (lithium, but not prone to burning like Li-Ion/Li-Pol). For the same price I have a setup that can power a PC for hours.

APC is an established and reliable company, communication with apcupsd daemon is seamless, UPS status can be monitored in real time.
I have already complained about this UPS twice, each time because of a bad battery. The first one reported everything ok, but when the power failed, all connected devices immediately crashed (the UPS was not overloaded, it reported a load of around 20%). Product exchange. The other immediately warned that the battery was faulty and had to be replaced. The third (current) after about 3 months of operation reports that the battery is EOL and we need to replace it. According to apcaccess, the battery has a BATTDATE manufacturing date: 2001-01-01. I don't know if this is possible, but if the product is 22 years old, I understand that the battery is failing.
If you buy, you count on the possibility that you will have to immediately buy a new battery for about 700 CZK from e.g. Avacom.
It is not suitable for old electrical installations with AC type current protectors.
