I definitely recommend buying a case for these headphones. The textile headphone diaphragm is not protected at all. Otherwise, the headphones sound perfect. I am not an audiophile, but the sound is brilliant. Nowadays, the older codec that doesn't support lossless audio is a pain. Plus the new colors with usb-c are out now. They are luxury headphones, but could use a little upgrade.
