The volume control of the TV with the AppleTV remote does not work, even though my TV supports the HDMI CEC standard (Panasonic Viera V30), which the manual refers to. Turning the TV on and off with the AppleTV remote works. I haven't found a functional solution to the volume control problem, but there are several users having the same problem (based on googling).
