The plan was to have smart heating control at home via Home Assistant. There are options to pair it via Matter (which has a limited number of sensors and settings) or via Zigbee (in my case, Z2MQTT, or alternatively ZHA). So I went with the Z2MQTT route, and a lot of settings appeared, practically mirroring what you can set in the Aqara app if you connect the thermostat via an Aqara hub. But here's the crucial part: The thermostat can't measure the room temperature with its internal sensor while also using the NTC floor sensor as a failsafe against the floor overheating. It's either one or the other. And even the Aqara app can't do it; I bought the Hub and paired the sensor through it (it then shows up in HA as a Matter device – again, with limited functionality). The only thing there is a global maximum temperature limit, which is set to about 40 degrees. Apparently, it should be possible to combine the NTC sensor with an external Aqara sensor, but I don't want to buy another little box. On top of that, the NTC sensor value keeps changing on the display. Unfortunately, I'll probably wait for a more polished version if one ever comes out, and for now, I'll have to go with Meross, which admittedly runs on Wi-Fi :(
Matter / Thread, Zigbee
Looks ok on the wall
It can also measure consumption
Also measures humidity
It can't work with the temperature from the NTC sensor and the internal temperature at the same time.
Occasionally, you could really hear a brief whistling sound.
The NTC sensor temperature fluctuates a bit.

It's working as it should.
It emits a high-pitched whistling sound that is incredibly annoying. Even the new items have this fault following the complaint. This is therefore a manufacturing fault and not a fault with specific items.
