Sound card - guys I don't know what the trend is that you can only connect an optical cable today or headphones. It lacks those classic jack jacks for 5.1 speakers, so after years I was forced to buy a sound card. It was an incredible problem to get the 5.1 sound going. Windows showed Dolby Digital support in the settings - the test played in individual speakers, but Windows can't decode free Dolby like in the old days, and the sound card on the board obviously doesn't have paid licenses. Dolby Access pretended that my system didn't support dolby atmos and didn't offer anything else (I would have gladly bought it), so after consulting AI when was the option for either: install unofficial sound drivers where there are a million compatibility issues - or buy an external sound card. So I recommend that if you are trying to run 5.1 sound for years with this card, order the Court Blaster X4(for example), which can decode Dolby Digital, Logitech speakers connected by optical cable to an external sound card and the sound card connected by USB C to the board. And when I played KCD2 or the first music I immediately thought why didn't I buy an external sound system a long time ago. Apart from solving a million problems - the clarity of the sound is noticeable. + it solves problems with future boards as well
So the board is great - just the sound cards on the boards aren't what they used to be and it's getting worse and worse. I don't know most people probably play on headphones so don't worry about it, but if you have quality 5.1 or god forbid 7.1 dolby speakers - buy an external sound card (like in the old days: D) it really pays off and saves you a million nerves.
Super board - I chose it over the classic X870E version because it is cheaper but still has a quarter enough power supply for good clocking and for future AM5 Zen6 processors
Bios super, clocking and subvolting easy, updating BIOS via flash drive and pressing one button
passive heatsinks for M2 drives, unfortunately one of my M2 drives had a plate on it so I didn't put the plate on the board, but I used the main Gen5 slot heatsink.
The wifi isn't very good as an AP, which I originally wanted to use for Quest 3, but unfortunately the wifi is more just a receiver.
