I recommend this product, it was great to expand the insufficient USB ports on my computer. Even though it includes a power adapter (it can be easily unplugged from the USB hub and plugged back in), it is not necessary to use this power adapter. I use the USB hub mainly for USB flash drives, and when I have it connected to my PC, it just needs power from the USB port of my computer. But when you occupy all its ports or connect a hard drive, the USB hub can't handle it and needs external power. It works, I can recommend it, it's a quality product that doesn't break even when I keep disconnecting and connecting flash drives from it. Great product at a great price.
