I bought my first juicer of this design somewhere around 2006-7 in Makro under the name Alaska and the price was then about 1200, -with tax. It lasted me ten years and I bought a new one because I wanted a newer nicer one, it was a Sencor type designation I don't know exactly but it looked the same, it lasted me about five years and then the motor burned out so I bought a new one, again identical in appearance. Compared to the previous models, the plastic walls, especially the upper transparent part, are thicker. I can't now objectively write if it's better or if it's just more prone to damage, either way the juicer works really flawlessly. The sieve is again as with the first model fine, so the juice is clear. I use this juicer mainly for harder fruits such as carrots, beets, possibly apple and if I have homemade apples without chemicals so even with the peel. I use the juicer daily, or I have periods when I use it every other day.
