I installed it, did PID tuning, but it still cheats.
It's clogging the nozzle at random. It seems to me that there is a bad contact somewhere on the thermistor, it then stops heating, but the system thinks the temperature is correct -> the filament stops leaking => it stops printing.
Plus, from the packaging, it looks like I got the product once already unwrapped - the box was extra taped over.
So to clarify. Apparently some users think the hotend is plug n play. It's definitely not like that. Of course, the wiring is simple, but as you can see from the reviews, if you don't set it up properly, you end up with a Thermal Runaway, clogged nozzle or hotend. The product works great, it's just the users don't know how to use it. So for those reading this who plan to buy this hotend. It takes patience and tuning. Definitely not recommended for beginners. Things that need to be adjusted:
- To solve the thermal runaway problem, you need to modify the PID - which is an algorithm that controls the temperature stabilization of the hotend and the pad. (Firmware download required)
- For nozzle jamming and clogging, simply look in the slicer and adjust the retraction. It's a bimetal, so a retraction distance of over 2mm will simply clog it.
- I recommend to use it with direct, as the 2mm bowden is a bit pain ngl.
- If it still jams, then reduce the retraction or check the PTFE: ) That's all of my tips. Just don't be a clover and look for solutions instead of avoiding the problem.
Hello guys from FP3D
100% compatibility with Ender 3, you only need to replace the Speedy and the cables that are in the package (I have my fanduct)
I've increased the speed and quality of the print and great
The filament whizzes through it like nothing
unfortunately, after a year and a half of use, the heating went out, so it did not maintain the temperature during printing, which means that the printer turns off as a protection, unfortunately. l
