The cap is very bad, either they sent us a defective piece or it's so stupidly made. My son threw it at my head, saying the thermos was a piece of sh*t! It closes badly, you can't tell at the cap whether it's closed or open and then it leaks. I'd return it, but I threw the box away. Come on. You got it in the cassette without the box? Ok
The head (cap) of a normal thermos can be unscrewed. Here, if you get a tea leaf in it, you poke it with a toothpick.
I happened to forget the rest of the tea in my thermos and left. Of course it turned sour, I rinsed it with sav, which I normally do with other thermoses. I don't know what happened to the gasket, but the old one smells bad and so does the tea.
