I used it in a setup with a weather station with 3 sensors for sensing temperatures in the fridge, freezer and outside the window. They show a higher temperature than alcohol thermometers - about 2 degrees higher. And you can't adjust the offset in the weather station to show a temperature closer to the real one.
The freezer does not show temperatures below -20°C. It's supposed to measure down to -40, but the weather station can't display it.
