this is an external keyboard, I have an iPad 9. gen 10.2, it serves nicely, the battery lasts a really long time, I like that there is a resistance on the keyboard and plus the touchpad is a great addition to either scroll with the Apple pencil and or classic hand as you are used to on tablets. the keyboard with the cover is noticeable in weight and robusnost, but I have already counted on it. be careful not to crack the plastic at the lightening port when pulling the iPad out of the case more often, it happened to me, but it does not affect the function. for me I recommend, who does not want to give more money for the original keyboard, but still wants to get a quality, decent keyboard .
