The offer in the form of this card made sense for an upgrade, not to mention that Gainward doesn't produce bad cards at all even considering the price. In terms of performance, the card is slightly below average at base, which can be made up for by a decent increase in GPU frequency (tested in 3DMark Time Spy).
Really quiet, even under load you can't hear the fans.
Price. Why pay thousands more for the same chip elsewhere.
Technology. DLSS and (path) ray tracing is really something that nVidia has leapfrogged the competition with and gives the card a relatively decent lifespan for the future.
Alan Wake II bonus card.
I wonder if the Alan Wake II game was added to the card to show that DLSS (frame insertion) will allow you to play in 4K smoothly. Because without it the game drops to 15 FPS in some scenes (with CPU 7900 3D). So even a 30K card without DLSS won't run a game like this in native 4K with ray tracing. A bit of conflicted feelings for the price.
The card is a massive, solid, all black design with no rgb I like. It doesn't go over 60c under load. However, where the comrades made a mistake in the design of the fan is beyond me. As soon as it spins up to even the minimum 30%, a terrible scrubbing sound is heard from inside. After reading various discussions, this is a problem with these models not just my piece. The fan on the far left is mainly to blame. It can be solved by the software from the manufacturer where it is possible to control each fan separately and just shut down the left one but it is not ok. I'm thinking of returning it.
I bought the card for 28k, absolutely silent, coils don't squeak! my piece handles calmly underclock 0.950v/2741mhz. at first I was worried about Gaiward, but for me considering the price the best 4080 model on the market now who wants some more OC potential or RGB has to look elsewhere
coils do not squeak under any load
the card is completely silent
Temperatures 65° max core, 68° memory, with UC according to HWinfo
only one bios, but afterburner solves that
