I re-bought an RX 9070 XT from another manufacturer and put it in the same build and it runs with no problems. I eventually claimed the Gigabyte and Alza refunded my money. I used to have enough GPUs from Gigabyte, but never again. This card has had a high complaint rate since it was launched and the manufacturer claimed to have fixed the defects. Unfortunately, either that didn't happen or I had the wrong piece.
The manufacturer reportedly used an experimental hot melt sealant and its application.
Smaller size
Overheating
Temperatures: 60°C hotspot card and 107°C
Poor heat transfer to the radiator even though it should have been fixed on the new series.
No load temperatures at 33°C, but you turn something on and it's 80 within 5 seconds.
Enough memory
pcie 5.0
Amd drivers a tragedy, but we've gotten used to it
Nonsensical. cooler. I really don't understand why everybody started putting those coolers with fins on their graphics so that it blows on the base and sidewall and not out like it always has. It'll totally mess up your airflow and temperatures over time.
Fans are nonsense above 1950 rpm. The noise it makes is a real massacre in a soundproof closet.
Temperatures thanks to the smart cooler (ironically) which absolutely can't handle it due to poor heat dissipation are completely out of whack at 95°C hotspot. Really funny
Of course, by heating it up, it'll completely raise the temperature of everything. Really cool.
Like buying graphics for X thousand to have to spend X hours setting it up, reading forums and playing with voltages (I haven't had to do that on any GPU I've ever bought) and power supply to make it run at some normal temperatures is really like having to mark up your purchase yourself at the register. You think you're buying a finished product and not something you have to finish yourself.
I've been running on NVidia since the beginning and no problems. AMD in parameters better but their drivers is unfortunately one crap after another. Hopefully it will get better with time.
At the time of purchase the card had the best price/performance ratio + 16 GB Vram. The main downside to this model from Gigabyte is their decision to use a cheaper thermal conductive gel, which causes the difference between the average temperature and hotspot/memory to be over 20 degrees to values reaching up to 90 degrees when stress tested in a case with good airflow. Unlike most other manufacturers who use hot conductive paste on the core and classic hot pads on the memory and VRM.
At the time of purchase with cashback low price
Best price/performance ratio
16GB memory
Higher Vram memory temperature
Few titles with FSR compared to DLSS
Frame generation only 2x in a small number of games
Verified purchase - review from a price comparison website
The price/performance ratio is just awesome. Games in 4k run smoothly and the card still has reserves.
