Alza is offering an old type of head at a discount. The new heads have a temperature and valve opening history. This one does not have these characteristics.

I have tried different heads and this is the best so far. It has a reliable calibration, so it doesn't happen that the valve reports closed while the radiator is heating.

There are two types on sale on Alza. Visually exactly the same. The older type can't record temperature.
A complicated manual. If the valve is connected to the gate, its setting is simple. But on first reading, one struggles unnecessarily with manual controls and settings.
Calibration description is missing in the manual. Apparently this is why other users complain about "forcing" when the valve is closed. It is necessary to open the valve fully in manual mode and then close it completely.

Attention: 2 different models of these thermostatic heads are sold under this product.
The older model is the one where people complained that it doesn't close the heater completely. This is something that can be reconfigured in the settings, but the manual is extremely unclear. This older model is supported in Home Assistant via ZHA.
The newer model has a default fixed valve closure, but Home Assistant doesn't recognize this model yet (I've already sent a patch to the dev branch but who knows when it will be released). 1 of the 4 pieces I have is significantly noisy, so count on that too if you need it somewhere to sleep. Unfortunately it does not take rechargeable batteries (1.2V), it only works with alkaline batteries (1.5V). On the other hand, at least they lasted a reasonably long time, they didn't need replacing during the whole heating season.
