I switched to it from an iPhone 13 and even though I had a phone with a higher refresh rate (144 Hz), I knew the difference would be big and it really was. Even on a 60 Hz phone, iOS runs beautifully smooth and doesn't crash, but iOS on a 120 Hz display is really neat and very easy to get used to. The OLED display is great, the colours are accurate and great to look at. About the charging cable - I finally got rid of the lightning! I'm so glad that I don't have to carry my lightning anywhere anymore, because even if I accidentally forget the cable and it's somewhere, someone will 100% have USB-C. Plus the fact that the cable is braided, that's really cool, such a cable just doesn't get destroyed.

I wasn't planning on buying one but the 14 Pro battery was quickly going to silicon heaven (Apple's SW bug in the modem accelerated this greatly). I pre-ordered the 14 Pro back then to enjoy the "feel" and will never do this again (battery was absolutely tragic and SW issues at the start. ). With the new 16 Pro I was already afraid to update to iOS 18.2 but I finally took the risk (occasional glitches in the photo app and sometimes an eternity before the photo was displayed in the album), yes this is unimaginable how much Apple has deteriorated in SW and I would love to exchange the system's debugging for some new "features". Apple is trying so hard to push "wow" changes that it's slowly forgetting what it grew up on.
The size is not as bad as I feared.
