It works really well. It would be good to mention that the machine counts with homogenized milk (commonly available production). If you buy farm (non-homogenised) milk, you won't get cold foam (or only a little). He can handle the warm foam. Since I don't make cold foam myself, I can say that I am very happy with the device.
Quick
Quiet
Easy to maintain
With the right milk really a lot of beautiful foam
The minimum amount of milk is still large enough for one small coffee - a trifle
Even after several months of use I am still excited about it and I am giving another piece under the tree as a gift.
Beautiful design (matches my Lauben filter kettle), perfectly working magnet, I just got more than I expected. It is open daily.
I left the Teflon interior - this is a super healthy alternative that I'm excited about. I recommend it.
beautiful design
perfectly blended foam - hot and cold
works well with vegetable milks
glass - not tedlon
yes, I agree with the others that for one the minimum milk intake is really too much
very loud beeping (it is manageable, but if your baby needs to sleep, it will probably wake him up)
this frother is a total blast. not for nothing did he win the test for best frother. Unlike the previous type which I had for a few months and I got very angry with it because it either didn't froth or overflowed and I like from Alza that every milk is different and I have to whip max. 1 minute on a machine that has automatic timing was really annoying to me so I bought this proper one and it whisks always and all milks perfectly.
People here criticise the loud beeping, and yes it is loud, but at a time when almost every appliance beeps including washing machines kettles dishwashers etc. it doesn't make any sense to me.
When compared to the Nespresso or KRUPS XL100810 frothers, the Lauben produces a creamier froth. The mousse doesn't seem as fluffy (it doesn't make a cap), but it's creamier, and probably some of the little stuff would work (which you can't do with both of these). It doesn't have a Teflon surface, so even if something burns, it's easy to clean (Krups burns the same milk a little every time). The milk takes longer to whip than the listed competitors. The noise level of operation is comparable to others.
I was worried about the beeping noise that other comments have mentioned extensively, but the washing machine and microwave beep more, so it's fine for us: -).
DOES NOT dilute milk
Stainless steel bottom, glass side walls. Even if something burns, it can be cleaned without worry (no Teflon surface)
The propeller is mounted on a cylindrical mandrel, no precise orientation is required
The beeping of the buttons or the end of the beating could be quieter. It's survivable.
Really horribly loud beeping, both when selecting a program and then 4 long beeps after the foam has finished whipping. It'll wake up the whole house, which some people might appreciate: D
