Skip CoPilot Pro for now until everything comes out, otherwise it's what I've always wanted from MS Surface. But it's AI. It's not one direction.
Everything is swinging as it should
Unfortunately the ad lies, despite CoPilot Pro waiting to see what's happening on the desktop and communicating on the subject
CoPilot is now a web app running in windows on an extra window and can't do what CoPilot does in Edge (even though they are the same at the core) - this is enough for me. snacks
CoPilot on iPhone and Android talks to me (CZ region), on CoPilot PC (! ) no

After a long contemplation of buying a new laptop to replace both my personal and work laptop, I waded into the waters of laptops with ARM processors. After countless video and text reviews, I finally opted for the Surface Laptop version with the Snapdragon X Elite processor, and compared to my primary laptops so far, I'm extremely satisfied. The main reason why I preferred ARM processors was mainly the announced battery life. It is used for normal office work (Excel, Outlook, internet browser with lots of open windows, etc. ) doesn't get to the announced 20+ hours, but it stops somewhere around 10 - 12 hours, which is perfectly sufficient for not having to constantly search for an outlet or even carry a charger with you to work or every meeting. The 13.8" display is beautiful and certainly doesn't suffer any extra from the fact that it's not an OLED panel. The only complaint I would perhaps have is the touchscreen layer, which makes the display too glossy in specific lighting conditions. I haven't used the touchscreen myself yet, so I would welcome the existence of models without this function/feature (e.g. in exchange for an OLED panel). The keyboard has a relatively lower travel than I was used to, but within a week the old habit was gone and the keyboard is very comfortable to type on. A big plus is the large haptic touchpad, which doesn't compare to the regular touchpads you get on other laptops with Snapdragon processors. I haven't really used the AI / Copilot+ features, it's more like something you play with for a while and then get tired of it. To use AI where it would make sense for me (Microsoft 365 apps) you probably need to own a Copilot Pro license, which costs nearly 12k here on Alza. I would expect that laptops directly from Microsoft could have this feature (still combined with this price tag) as a competitive advantage over other laptops with a Snapdragon processor. The one feature I consider more useful in the long run on CoPilot+ laptops, Recall, is not yet available. In terms of performance, the laptop is very snappy, it has no problem with countless open applications and fast switching between them. 16 GB RAM is also sufficient for me. Similarly, I haven't encountered any problems with compatibility of programs with ARM architecture. For what I use the laptop for I can't rate it other than 5*. There is certainly room for improvement and fine tuning for the next generation, but these are not some ground braking shortcomings that I would not recommend the computer on.
Long battery life
Power
Dimensions and weight
Fantastic haptic touchpad
One of the nicest Windows laptops in terms of design
AI ready
Charging via both USB-C and Microsoft connector
Glossy display
For me a useless touch panel
Missing Recall feature (so far)
Zero AI integration into Microsoft 365 applications (only for an additional cost of +10,000 CZK)
Lack of HDMI (I think there is room for it)
