I purchased the lens as a universal zoom to the Z50 for travel and such ordinary photography so that I do not have to constantly switch between 16-50mm and 50-250mm lenses depending on whether I am shooting close or distant objects or scenes. Photo quality is comparable to 16-50 or 50-250mm lenses. I would take one star off because of the plastic bayonet and the lack of a sun hood due to the price of the lens.
zoom range
VR stabilisation
suitable as a universal for DX (APS-C) cameras
higher price
plastic bayonet (due to the price it could have been metal)
sun visor not included, must be purchased separately (HB-101)
poorer aperture (but this is common with zoom lenses)
