I bought the AVR as a replacement for the Sony Str 520, it is noticeably more powerful, the sound is more dynamic even at lower volume and clearer at higher volume. I appreciate the multitude of Hdmi and analog inputs, on the other hand the digital 1 coaxial and 1 optical input is a bit small. For a 20k AVR, I expected everything (settings and functionality) to run like clockwork, which didn't happen. Overall I'm happy though, the sound from it is great and the rest is fine tuned.
