To be honest, all cameras shoot very well these days. The choice is so much about preference and lenses. Personally, I like the Panasonic's colours (although they are better on the G9), its great stabilisation, clear menu and excellent video. What strikes me as a step backwards o against the older G9 is the grip, where the grip pushes into my fingers and the button placement isn't quite ideal either. Another minus is the lenses, not that there are so few lenses for L-mount, but there is a lack of cheaper and smaller lenses. For example, for Sony, there are lenses available from Tamron that have great value for money.
